Realtek AC97 HD Drivers.... Please get working drivers in release.
So far the Windows Vista experience since Beta 2 has been great. But we are
now on RC1 and we still do not have working drivers for Realtek AC97. There are beta drivers available from Realtek but they give me the blue screen of death everytime I try to install. Its very frustrating. I know Microsoft isnt Realtek, but can they light a fire under something to get a move on this? Thanks! |

Realtek AC97 HD Drivers.... Please get working drivers in release.
last night i did a upgrade install on my asus a8n32 system.
after the install the only speakers that where working front and center the sub and the rears did not have any sound even though the vista speaker setup was set to 5.1, so i loaded the all in one realtek driver's from asus's website for my a8n32. when i loaded them i clicked run as administrator and the install worked. the system rebooted and the realtek icon came up in the tray. i setup the realtek just like xp setup then went into the vista speaker setup and set it to 5.1 and everything tested aok. the driver lists it is using a dx10 realtek driver. good going realtek and ms "Andrew_Wilson" wrote: So far the Windows Vista experience since Beta 2 has been great.
