Default Error while connecting to Internet

Hi,

I newly got a Hp Compac laptop with windows Vista in it. I got a BSNL broad
band connection with Ethernet modem (UT300R3U with ADSL2 + Modem). I
configured the router and when i try to connect to internet it gives me an
error : 815 Remote server is not reponding . This could be caused by invalid
value for service name field. I am not sure how to fix this issue.. Cna
anybody help me on this ..?

Thanks in advance
Vidya

Will the Internet works if you connect the labtop directly to modem? If
works, then you did not configure the router correctly. Read the router
manual again and configure it.

If you also fail to access Internet even by connecting the labtop to router
directly, then contact the broadband service provider and tell them the
problem. Might afraid you keyed in wrong connection info. They should be able
to help you.

Hope helps..
