Default Vista RC1 Disables DVD-ROM/CD-RW Combo

Greetings,

I've recently installed the Vista RC1 and everything works peachy, except my
DVD-ROM/CD-RW Combo drive. Vista will detect any disc after initial boot,
but as soon as I attempt to place a second disc in the drive, Vista stalls
the read process and the drive crashes. It no longer appears in the device
manager and Vista no longer detects the device at all. If I boot into XP
Home, the drive appears and functions normally, so I'm fairly certain this is
a Vista specific issue.

My system specifications are as follows:

AuthenticAMD AthlonXP 3200+ Clocked @ 2.2GHz
ASUS A78NX Motherboard with nForce 2 Chipset
1GB High Performance Kingston 3-3-3 PC3200 RAM
400GB Hitachi ATA133 Hard Drives x3
512MB nVidia GeForce 6800 Ultra AGP Video Card
eDio 5200X 7.1 Digital Theater Card

Lite-On SOHC 5236K DVD-ROM/CD-RW Combination Drive 52X/48X/16X

I have the exact same problem. So if you find a cure please let me know. I
too have a Combo Drive that's not been detected. I love the Interface of
Vista, but if I can't get the DVD Rom to work its like not having a computer.
I hope we find a fix soon as I have software to load.

Thanks and Good luck
