Default Vista network access via dial up

I can upload files to a Vista PC using a LAN, however, while a phone
connection to the PC is fine (registered on the network) I am not then able
to access the folders to upload anything. I can do it on every XP Pro machine
with no problems

Uploading from the Internet with a dialup connection is no different
than when attached via a LAN.

Just what "folders" can you not access? A bit more information might
help someone help you.

Default Vista network access via dial up

Thank you Jay,

What we do is upload the weekly advertising for each store in hundreds of
shopping malls around the country. We have been doing this for many years
with no trouble until we introduced las week 2 new PC with Vista Business.
There is no problem to upload to the via a LAN connection but as soon as we
try to do it remotely via dial up connection we can not access any of the
folders that we share for this purpose. We agree that it should not be a
difference between dialup network and LAN but somehow there is?
We appreciate your help.

Have you set the dialup connection to explicitly allow file sharing?
Go to tat connections Properties to check, and set it if necessary.
