Hello all, My OS is *Windows Vista Home Basic*. I am using a laptop *Toshiba Sattelite A100 - 785*. I am connecting to internet through *LAN*. Everything used to work excellent for 1-2 months, but I had to disconnect the cable for a while and after that my problem started. The computer finds the network, but it says "*Access: Local only*". And it do not recieve any packets, only send. I have read about many similar problems on internet, I tried many things, but without result. *The only way* I could connect to internet is when *_I_set_my_network_card_to_work_10mbps_*. But nothing more. I hope somebody to have some ideas. Not using any firewalls, including the Windows one, it is turned off. Thanks. -- Lupo |

Check the hub or switch port that the computer connects to, and also the cable that connects the computer to the port. Try different ports and cables. -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
