Default Home network Vista and XP

I have a wired LAN set up to share Internet access between two computers. I
bought an new laptop with Vista. I'm trying to add the new computer to the
LAN. I can get Internet access with the new computer but cannot set up file
sharing with the old computers. Can you direct me to instruction on how to do
this?
