After installing the updates and re-booting I lost my LAN connection. Going
to diagnostics and getting new IP address the connection comes back up, but the connection keeps searching for the public connection??? In Network & Sharing, I have to run the diagnostics each time I restart the computer to get my connection. So, I restored the system to the day before I installed the updates and I am now connecting without a problem, but I don't have the Vista updates. One or more of these updates is interfering with myLAn connection. Does anyone else have this problem and what is the solution. |

connection. Does anyone else have this problem and what is the solution. after installing the performance/compatibility update i had to run "diagose and repair" a couple of times to regain the internet. that was a few days ago, and all has been working flawlessly since I did that. |

Interesting, do you know the date ofthe perfomance/compatibllity update? Until yesterday none of the updates caused any problems. I had to run te diagose and repair each time I turned on my computer to re-connect and somehow it never finishes loading, but does let me connect. |

938979 is not in my updates at all and I thought I had them all before 08-14-07. Prior to yesterday I was allowing auto updates. you have to deliberately install that file: it isn't set up yet as a regular update. i gave you the link already. |
