Default connecting to a wireless router using netgear vista

I am having trouble trying to connect to the internet using netgear
the only way I can connect is to use netgear icon and
then I get the warning from user accont controls and then I click
the icon and then I click accept program am fine is their any way around
this....I contacted
dell and netgear however no help I am using windows one care
