where is my mixer???
hello,
big problem: my pc is always connected to my video recorder. when my wife watches a movie i get the sound on my speakers... i have to switch off the complete sound in the taskbar. even when i go to the device control and pull down the volume at the line-in panel - nothing happens. please give me back the old mixer where i have all devices...mic, line in, stereo mix and so one.... with a button to switch on or off. the sound control in vista doesn´t work and i dont´want to go to the device control every time ... |

Sound controls are likely a function of the sound board or card's drivers. The manufacturer may supply an update, to regain full functionality. Check their site. |

I have a maddog 5.1 and was able to get my drivers to install and set the mic in and so on. just no mixer after the install. |

another thing to remember is that alot of the old sound card drivers are
16 bit. no 16 bit apps allowed in vista! Wrong. All my old 16-bit DOS apps run just fine in a window. They just don't run full-screen. Perhaps you meant 16-bit DRIVERS rather than apps. Tom Lake |

where is my mixer???
drivers are not the problem. i got the newest nforce and realtek drivers and
i got all sound. i just miss the possibility to tune the line-in down or to switch it off. that doesn´t work. the sound control mixer was a simple but great thing. why shall i switch to the system control / audio & multimedia / audio / recording panel just to switch one sounddevice on or off??
