I´m living in Spain and I´ve just bought a new computer with WINDOWS VISTA
(Home Premium 32 bits). The problem is that I put Internet using ONO (an important company in Spain with a speed of 4Mb) and the problem is that the real speed is 18 Kb. Using Windows XP there is no problem and they had told me that the problem is the compatibility of Windows Vista. I´m using a modem ( ARRIS TM501B). They have told me that VIsta is horrible and that I have to change. Can someone help me, please? Thank you |

The chances are that their software is not compatible with Vista.
Also, in your network connection, properties, you could try unclicking TCP/IPv6, it will work fine with just TCP/IPv4, and it sometimes causes a download speed issue. Thank you por helping me. I´ve unclicking TCP/IPv6 and the problem is the
same. I´m sure that there are other people that is using VISTA with ONO so the software has to be compatible. However I don´t know if the modem is. I´ve tried to discover it but I can´t because there is no information in the web (the modem is an ARRIS TM501B). The speed is very slow and I don´t kow what to do. I regret having bought VISTA.
