Default IE7 log files

Hi,
I can't find IE7 log files using Vista.
May not need them though. Basically, IE7 is blocking redirect to a WLAN log
in page because it is a non-trusted domain. A warning came up once enabling
me to allow the redirect (which I did successfully) but it does not appear on
subsequesnt connection attempts. I don't have access to the redirect url but
read that it is stored in the IE7 log files.

If you're talking about the Interent Explorer Event log the only use that I have
seen of it is with the Application Compatibility Toolkit. However, I don't use
Vista so it's possible that it has wider use in it.

Otherwise, a more conventional way to diagnose this symptom would be
to use a trace, e.g. either netcap or Fiddler2. Also, you might not even
need to go that far if your "redirect" is implemented in HTML, in which case
you could just use View Source or a Script Debugger to see it.

If I could change security settings on IE7 to allow redirect to a non-trused
domain I perhaps wouldn't need the log files in the first place but I can't
decide which of the myriad options in IE7 would allow the redirect.
Hope this makes sense.

Not really. A specific example might help. ; )

Thanks for any help in advance

HTH
