Default Sigmatel Audio Driver

I have tried to install the XP driver for my dell inspiron 6000, like several
people suggested, but it didn't work.
My laptop speakers work, but my headphone and microphone jacks do not.
Is there any other way to fix this problem.

hmmm,
Don't know what to tell you; except the driver for the dell e1505-which
i have; works fine.
Maybe try the sigmatel driver for the dell e1505;instead of your 6000.

I tried that too.
It said that the driver wasn't compatible with my hardware, or something
like that.
