I have newtork sharing setup on an XP pro sp2 desktop connected to a wireless
hub. My laptop is running Vista Ultimate. I can access and open files on the desktop machine with no problems. When I try to copy a file from my destop machine to the laptop I get the message "destination folder access denied". So far I've not seen anythind in the support group discussing this problem. Any ideas how I can get around this error. |

Where on your Vista machine are you attempting to copy files to? Have you set the correct permissions on the folder? -- Jane, not plain 64 bit enabled :-)Batteries not included. Thank you for the follow up post. Yes, I've verifiied that I have the
correct access to copy files to the folder (the folder, called downloaded software, was newly created and set up with full access by the admin). As it turns out, I did additional testing after posting this message and found the problem to be related to Trendmicros systems blocking access to the specific exe file I was trying to copy. Trendmicro thought the file was some kind of crackgen program. When I access the program directly from the XP machine, I saw the error message and removed the restriction on the file and the copy ran with no problems. Thanks again for the follow-up.
