Default Vista runs really slow

Disable themes in the sevices and watch it go. get there by control panel and
then admin tools

Turn off Aero Glass and watch it fly. Look under personalize display and
whatnot in the Control Panel, it will appear like a theme. As soon as I did
that, my laptop and desktop both ran better, less hot, and I think my battery
is lasting a lot longer...

Hey Guys,
What is UAC???
Also, I found that turning off the sidebar helped speed things up for me...
but still not as zippy as XP.
Thanks

I only have a Athlon 2800+ with 1.5 gig ram and I'm surprised it runs so
well. Yes it's not quite as zippy as XP but it's not far off either. I've
heard disabling UAC can help speed it up.

I have a P4 3.0 GHZ processor with a gig of ram and most of the time vista
runs like crap, anyone else have same problem or know how to fix it?
