Hi zoeymay,
Ehtray is a normal system process associated with Media Center. I've not encountered any problems with the screensaver running while it does, but you can disable it from loading on the startup tab of MSCONFIG (just enter this into the search prompt). You might also check that the file has not been altered by malware. Click start and type ehtray into the prompt. Right click the topmost entry in the start menu and select properties. The file size should be 139776 bytes -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "zoeymay" wrote in message ... Thanks Rick.
My file size is only 126976. This is a new Dell, 3 weeks old, running Vista Pre. Very unhappy with the new os. I'm going to try and see if I can find just the one file on their restore disk and check the size. -- wt "Rick Rogers" wrote: Hi zoeymay, Ehtray is a normal system process associated with Media Center.
