Windows Live Spaces - Resolution of uploaded image is reduced

I have just setup Windows Live Spaces and uploaded a couple of pictures
and found that resolution of the uploaded picture files(JPG) is reduced
by one twentieth. Is there a way to avoid this automatic down-grade of
resolution?
