Default Need NIC Driver

I installed Vista into a VPC (MS VPC 2004) but the network card will not
work. I installed the add-on pack and still does not work. It shows up as a
"Intel 21140-Based PCI Fast Enternet Adapter (Emulated)". I am running a
Intel PRO/1000 PL Network Card.

Any help is appreciated.

Hello,

I did a search of the drivers available according to Intel's website...I
show no Beta drivers for Vista. This could mean that Intel has yet to provide
MS with a suitable driver. Until they, or a third party producers a driver
compatible with Vista...You may be SOL on using that particular piece of
hardware. At least until Vista ships with the complete driver set.

Thanks, I looked and could not find either.

Has anyone else tried to use MS VPC?

I have an Intel PRO on my motherboard and am using the XP driver for it on
my Vista
machine. It works just fine.

Was this in a Virtual PC environment?

No, in a clean install and in an XP Pro upgrade.
