A nasty bug might be the reason.
A couple of years ago that bug was giving the whole world trouble.
Start up in safe state and run a scan for vira.

Hello KK,

Thanks for the reply,

No not a nasty Vira. The only nasty Vira is Vista. It is in need of maturity
and stability.

Thanks it is still dong it.

Hello Mr. Russel

Thanks for your reply. I agree with you about more info.

1 I am not sure I selected this but I didn't install from a shut down and
reformat install. So I would have to say no. Becasue I have the Wiindows.Old
file.
2. Yes I installed winRAR and then removed it.
I also installed another incompatible program that I uninstalled and it is
still doing it.

There is no other info on data on this OS except Office 2003 Pro.

So... I came to the conclusion that I would try a fresh reinstall and format.

anything I should know or look out for?

Thanks again for your help.

Default Explorer Keep Crashing

Hello Paul,

I have reinstalled Vista and I am having the same issue and now I am even
getting a BSOD. There is nothing installed but a fresh copy of Vista Premium.

I have mapped six drives to six servers and every time I connect and begin
to work on the files located on the servers Vista pops up a warning dialogue
bos saying that explorer has stopped working. restarting explorer and I get
this over and over.

I am seeing other posts now about this. As an aside... I cannot believe that
no one in devlopement experienced any of this and then released an OS that is
not (in my opinion) ready.

You can barely use this OS... if at all.

Thanks
Joe
