I have a similar problem, but the message I get says "orbicam has stopped
working. Windows will close the program and look for a solution." (That is a
paraphrase not the exact quote.) Then it closes and does not mention any type
of solution. My computer is only a few weeks old, too.

When the screen saver comes up and goes to the part that demonstrates the
camera, it does work. So, the problem must have something to do with software
rather than hardware

same Windows msg and neither Acer nor Windows would/could help me. AHHH, help!

In Vista...click on start...go to pictures...click on
file...new...folder...then rename it to pictures...copy and paste or
drop and drag a picture(any) into the folder...restart computer and
open Acer OrbiCam on desktop...it should work...Good Luck
