Default Vista Video Card Suggestions...

I have an NVIDIA Quadro NVS Display card and would like to upgrade to a
"Vista" compatable card. My system rating is at a um, 1.0 low lol. Everything
else in my system is up to par, Dual 2.66 XEON's, 3 gigs of ram and a fast
15,000 rpm SCSI drive, but my graphics just "stink" in the performace range.
I would like to certainly be able to use the full versitility of the AERO
graphics. I can't seem to find any info on what cards are currently
compatable so any insight would be helpful...

Thanks!

If all you want is a cheapie to play/test Vista, go with a GeForce FX5200...
EASILY under $50, perhaps MUCH under. A 128 meg card will do it (I'm using
one with Vista at this moment). Got mine used off eBay for under $20
shipping included.

If you're pretty sure you'll be switching to Vista or need a
high-performance card, however, I'd set my sights higher. The 5200 doesn't
suck by any means, but, it's not a powerhouse by modern standards.

A GeForce 6200 with 128 or 256 MB VRAM will do, but see yourself:

Thanks for the info guys. I looked around and looks like a nice ATI Radeon
X1300 is in my future. Price is about $120 and will do me for what I need to
do.
