I have a home network via a wireless linksys router. I have my printers
connected to my desktop, which is a WinXP Pro machine. I have printer sharing enabled and have no problems printing from my other WinXP Pro PCs. I recently got a new laptop that has Windows Vista Home Premium on it. I am able to see the shared printers when I path to the PC with the printers connected to it, but everytime I attempt to connect to the printer I get an error that says: "Windows cannont connect to the printer. Access is denied." Any ideas? Thanks |

Are you using Guest, or non-Guest sharing on the Windows XP computers? http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2006/12/windows-xp-and-vista-on-lan-together.html http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2006/1...-together.html The next challenge is getting a Vista computer to act as a client in sharing a networked printer. http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2007/06/network-printing-from-windows-vista.html http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2007/0...ows-vista.html -- Cheers, Chuck, MS-MVP 2005-2007 [Windows - Networking] http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience.
