I am having a problem sharing a printer attached to a Vista Home Premium
system. When I tryto install it, I get a message stating that the setup program can not connect. I have printer sharing turned on I have password protected sharing turned off The firewall is disabled for testing A "net view \\pcname" displays the printer Looking at the frames on the wire, I see my XP system sending a DCERPC bind to the Vista system. The Vista system replies with nca_s_fault_access_denied error. I don't see anything in the event logs on the Vista system. Any idea what is going on here? Thanks, -Jeff |

It turns out that this problem was a result of the driver installation
procedure. I am using a Dell 924 printer and it seems that I am not the only one who has encountered this problem. Rather than using the Dell install procedure, I simply added the printer manually and it works just fine. ================================================ "NetWorker" wrote in message ...
