Default speech recognition failed to start

The same happened to me.

Softwa Windows Vista RC2
Hardwa Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Pro V2020

When I installed it speech recognition was working. Then, at some point, Windows Update downloaded some drivers (Unimodem Full Duplex Audio Device), and on next reboot, speech recognition program came with the same error. I disabled that hardware, rebooted, and it worked once again.
