Since install Vista RC1 I cannot see or access my DVD-ROM type dev
Since I installed RC1 I cannot access my DVD-ROM, CD-RW, or DVD-RW drives.
When I check the properties of the drives in Device Manager, this is the error message that I get: A driver (service) for this device has been disabled. An alternate driver may be providing this functionality. (Code 32) Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available. How can I go about fixing this problem? |

Since install Vista RC1 I cannot see or access my DVD-ROM type dev
There is a KB article on the MS site about doing a registry hack to fix it.
Mine are doing the same thing and I need to do it as well. Do a search on the MS site for "Vista" "CD/ROM" and you will find it. Sorry I do not have the link but someone else here may have it. Are your Drives installed on a PCI controller? or are they connected to the
Motherboard? "ghill0463.software1" wrote: Since I installed RC1 I cannot access my DVD-ROM, CD-RW, or DVD-RW drives.
