Default RC2 installed drivers newer than 96.33?

I upgraded from RC1 to RC2. After a successful upgrade, I checked the video
drivers. RC2 had recognized my Nvidia card correctly and had installed a
driver from Nvidia, which I think is newer than 96.33. The new driver was
7.14.10.9677. It, so far, is working fine. I have played HL2 on Steam and
there was no problem. Unlike before with RC1 and driver 96.33.
Is this a newer driver or not. Thanks for any info.

Now if they'd only release a nforce4 network driver that actually works with
builds over 5600. Oh it works until you try to dl torrents.

I have found the 9633 drivers to be better in Oblivion. The newer
driver in rc2 causes audio stutter.

I have heard a lot of people having problems with the video cards in their
computers.
I can tell, from my experience. I have an HP 7030US notebook. 3.06Ghz, 2Gb
ram, NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5600.
The only problem I have had with my system as far as video is concerned is
that my video card won't play well with DVDMaker. I guess not enough memory.
If I can say nothing else for NVIDIA, I can say that they have been really
good though this Vista experience. From the day I loaded RC1, first Windows
Update, there was a driver for my video, and a seemingly better one than what
I had with XP, because I can see a difference in the performance.
and throughout the boards, I see folks with Radeons and other video cards
that are not getting compatible drivers at all. Now granted, I am sure the
Vista driver for my notebook isn't the very best, or even near what they will
finally have for it. But at least I have a driver that works.
Just be happy you have something..
