sony dvd rw dw-u14a
Same problem here. So those of us that have Sony dvd drives should just buy
new ones? I don't think so. If anybody esle has a solution please let me know. "John Boy" wrote: Well, there is no separate driver for it. It is a standard IDE optical drive. If it doesn't work, then maybe it's time to buy a replacement. amstudhj wrote: It was working to install Vista... and worked perfectly up till the time of installation so I dont see how a cable or setting was set wrong... didnt even open the case. You need to check you hardware carefully, especially the IDE cable and jumper settings. You should not need any special drivers. This is an ATAPI compliant IDE optical drive and the driver for that is part of the operating system. |
