There's quite a few posts about accidentally deleting the recycle bin. Mine
keeps disappearing without me going anywhere near it - honestly! I thinks that is what is happening to other people too. |

right click Desktop "customize" or "personalize" is your way ( i use the
german version, but I hope you know what I mean.. ) Then, in the new open Window you will find on the left side a link "customize Desktop Icons" - there you can turn on the "My Computer" "Recycle Bin" "My Documents" "Network" and so on. Once this feature is used (check - uncheck - check ), the Recycle Bin seems to stay where he belongs ( if you want him on your Desktop.. ) I am glad that one can turn the whole thing just off, as I do not use the Bin, I delete everything in one turn ( for security reasons )without asking me, if I really want to and without storing the files only in the Recycle Bin-sectors of my HDD.
