Default Remote connection

Hi,

How can I install the possibility to acces my PC remotely from somewhere in
the world ?

How can I access it via the Internet, Is there a special application for the
remote access or is it a weblink ?

Regards,

Jerry

Well, you could use Remote Desktop (RDP) if your PC is running Vista
Ultimate/Business or XP Pro/MCE.

If you have a Vista RDP host and a XP client then configure the host and
client like this...

Otherwise if your host PC is running Vista Home (any flavor) or XP Home a
program like UltraVNC would work.

If you just want access to shared files then a VPN or Secure Shell (SSH)
connection works well. You can also run Remote Desktop or UltraVNC through a
VPN or SSH tunnel.

What exactly do you want remote access for, ie. file access only or remote
control and file access?

If you do not have Vista Business/Enterprise/Ultimate or XP Pro/MCE, and as
an alternative to using VNC, there is also TeamViewer.

It is much easier to setup and doesn't even require you to forward ports in
your router, and it's free for personal use.
