Hi all! I've recently upgraded my PC from XP 64bit to Vista 64Bit but are unable to my spare pc to connect to the interent. Current setup is as follows: Server (Vista 32bit) --- Gaming PC (Vista 64bit) --- Internet (Cable). My old setup work fine. The problem I have is setting up the Gaming PC to allow traffic from the server pc. Both PCs are on the same workgroup and I am able to access files from the Gaming PC to the Server PC. Network IP addresses are on the same network and subnet mask. Both PCs are able to ping each other. Ping tests from the Server PC time out for websites and IP address for the website. Please can you tell me where I need to go to allow this as it seems to be a firewall issue, But I can't have a solution to allow it. Thanks All. halvare -- Halvare |

Thanks for the help! Yeah I was using ICS to share the connection. Noticed that Vista disables this service and you have to enable it. Now that the service is enable and the network card in the Gaming PC has the sharing box ticked, I can get the internet again!!! Thanks for the help/tip, I just needed a pointer to look in the right direction. ![]() Halvare -- Halvare |
