Do you have a full version or an upgrade version of Vista? You should
see a choice to install to a clean disk or upgrading. A clean install deletes all partitions and formats. http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase...rade_clean.asp http://www.winsupersite.com/reviews/winvista_03.asp http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918884 http://searchwinit.techtarget.com/ge...248934,00.html http://www.windowsreinstall.com/winvista/index.htm "bassam" wrote in message ... Hi,
Does the system boot from the DVD or does it just start to load Windows? If it's booting the DVD, you should get the installer screen. Start this process and where you get the prompt about where to install Vista (a dialog box that shows the drives), click on advanced. Then select C: and format will be available as one of the tools. If it's not booting the DVD, then you need to change the boot order in the system BIOS so that the optical drive loads before the hard drive. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "bassam" wrote in message ...
