Default Vista - How to change Office 2003 Frame/Window Theme Colors

After installing MS Office 2003 on my Vista PC, I am unable to find a way to
change the colors for the frame/window/toobar area's theme for any Office
2003 program. They all have that ugly XP blue theme to them. Is there a
way to change this to silver like in XP? The desktop is fine and I can
change those color just fine. It is only inside the Office programs that I
can't change the colors

Hello, I've found an answer on the NoteBook Review Forum: just run the
Office 2003 program in Windows 2000 compatibility mode. You'll lose some
of the XP fancy effect but the min color will be the classic grey.
Hope this helps.

It would probably have helped back in SEPTEMBER OF 2007 when that
person asked for help, but you're a little late.

Next time look at the date of the post you are replying to.

The idea behind these boards is that someone else might have the same
question someday and just might be helped by a reply.

Someone like me, for example, who came to this site via Google after I
puked over bubblegum blue.

Thanks, fchiarel !

I second that!

Good job, fchiarel! This workaround works with Win7 too!
