Problem with Network printer over wireless network.
I have a Samsung ML-1710 laser printer. Windows update in XP and Vista have
always given me the ML-1610 printer driver. The printer is connected to my XP Desktop and shared over the network. My new Vista laptop running Vista Home Premium installed the printer just fine, after a few tries. I can print to the printer just fine, but I can't change any printer preferences. For example in Word if I set up a landscape page and tell the printer to print landscape, it still prints portrait. Print preview also shows portrait. I did not have any problems communicating with this printer from my XP laptop. Any suggestions? P.S. Windows update updated the driver for both my XP and Vista machine when I was still having problems just getting it to print. -- The good news -- eventually there will be a Service Pack. |
