I am a student at a university with multiple wireless/wired connections in
various buildings. I want to create multiple LAN connections with the different settings so all I need to do is plug in at each location but when I try to create a new connection with the wizard an LAN connection is not an option, only wireless, PPoE and dial up. With XP LAN was an option in the wizard (an internet connection that is always on) and very easy to set up...no such luck with Vista. Also sometimes when I try to connect to a wireless network my computer will connect but have local access only and I cannot get on the internet, any thought on this phenomenon? |
