Connecting to Destop from Laptop
I was conncecting to my desktop computer running XP from my laptop running
Vista for several weeks with no problem. Now all of a sudden I get a "access denied see administrator for permission" when I try to access the desktop. This is a home network and I am the only user/administrator. What happened? Has a security setting somewhere got changed? The laptop will connect but won't let me access any files. -- tech450

Many possibilities. Check the permission settings, the sharing and password protect under Network Sharing center. Or this link may help too.
