Nvidia Geforce 7800 gtx drivers
Hi! I use Vista 32-bit edition and have just bought a 7800 card, but it
doesn't seem to be any drivers for it at www.nvidia.com. Where can I get drivers for the 32-bit Vista for my new card? |

Nvidia Geforce 7800 gtx drivers
Nvidia just released some new drivers yesterday. The drivers are not listed
by individual card, but the download will work with all cards of that type. Look for the Vista x86. Start with the Graphics driver option and then select which series. http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp Clark "Øyvind" wrote in message ... Hi! Still doesn't work. The problem is that my screen is black from the moment I
turn the pc on. No picture on the screen. I thought I could install the drivers without having the card mounted in, but the setup fails. Help please? OK, now I am confused!! You don't have a video card installed?
If nothing else, use the F key and boot with the basic video drivers to get the driver installed, or just boot to safe mode. Put your video card back in, and make sure you unplug the computer before you change it. Clark "Øyvind" wrote in message ... Still doesn't work. I already have a ATI X300 adapter installed. I can't install the nvidia
drivers without having the the GeForce card connected. When I do this, the screen is blank when I start up the computer again. It's difficult to install anything with a blank screen . I'm positive that my hardware is compatible with my new adapter. Last time I'm buying a GeForce card! "Clark" wrote: OK, now I am confused!! You don't have a video card installed? I assume that the X300 is on your MOBO, Have you checked for an updated BIOS
for your MOBO? With the NVIDIA card installed can you boot into your BIOS and disable or otherwise change a setting for your X300 chip so it is not the primary monitor and then do an F8 (Safe Mode) boot and install the NVIDIA drivers? If you have a built in video adapter, you must first disable it in the
system bios and specify wheater you wish an AGP or PCI or PCI-Express video adapter to be your video source. Turn off your computer. Install your new card and connect the monitor. It will boot up in VGA mode and you can install the drivers. NVidia install checks for a campatable card or it will not install. I have also noticed that if I boot into SAFE MODE (hold down F8 while Vista Boots) I get better results with nVidia driver installs. Also, previous nVidia drivers MUST be COMPLETELY removed first via Control Panel Programs applet, AND MNUALLY removing the contens of the NVIDIA folder via Windows Explorer. Thanks for all the help, Clark and JW, the "solution" is found...
I've tried all the tips and hints. At last I found out that the adapter is defect. That was 11 hours wasted =/ I reset my BIOS, threw out all other cards on the motherboard to see if there was conflicts, used windows with support for blind people to try to install drivers with blank screen and finally tested it on 3 other computers. Finally I contacted the manufacturer for help. They're sending me a better adapter =) Tanks a lot =) Øyvind "JW" wrote: I assume that the X300 is on your MOBO, Have you checked for an updated BIOS for your MOBO?
