just bought a Sony CR series and am trying to transfer files from a slowly
dying comp w/XP Pro to this one. I've got all the Vista Home updates and have read all of everyone's complaints, but I seem to have a new situation.... Most of the time transferring files drag n' drop is working, other than being slow (and no the hotfix didn't help), but every once in a while the connection freezes. I've tried rebooting the other computer and disconnecting/reconnecting either one or both of the computers to the network, nothing helps. The reason I can't reboot this one is that when I hit cancel on the transfer, Explorer completely stops responding. If I try to close or restart explorer, the mouse freezes. I can log out, but then the system completely stops responding and I have to do a hard reboot. Help? |

Instead of mucking around with what you are doing, use CDs, or better still,
a memory stick, external hard drive. It is quicker and easier. "atashida" wrote: just bought a Sony CR series and am trying to transfer files from a slowly dying comp w/XP Pro to this one.
