I have a client that has quickbooks pro 2007 installed on an xp home desktop.
He purchased a vista laptop and wireless router. quickbooks does not recommend a wireless network, and I can't get it to work ( the database is on the xp machne). I think that if I can set up a vpn between the 2 computers I can get it to work. I already switched the wireless nepwork tp wpa and gave it a key. I had to add an update to the xp machine to get it to see the vista machine on the network, however they still don't see each other on network places, even though I can see the drives of the other computer from my computer on each of them. I know my way around in xp, and would have set this up without help if both machines were running it, but being that I am not farmilliar with vista, I figured I would ask for help berfore I screw something up... Any suggestions? |
