Default hp pavilion ze4430us laptop video driver

before installing vista, I ran the check software to make sure it would run
on the laptop and it said it would, with the exception of the video driver.
I check and found this laptop has the ati radeon IGP 320M.

A quick check of the ATI website showed vista drivers available for this
card through the catalyst program. I downloaded it and ran it, but it said
VISTA was not installed and basically did nothing. So I went ahead an
updated to VISTA and then ran the catalyst installation again. When I try to
run Catalyst, it says it can't run on my notebook.

The graphics are stuck in 4 bit mode.

Any ideas?

That card does not appear to be supported for Vista.
