Default Networking Issue

My Windows XP computer does not appear on the Windows Vista network at all.

Not in the computers list or on the network map.

I have checked for firewall issues and other general settings and all seems
to be in order.

Any suggestions?

Make sure that ALL computers have the same workgroup name.
In Vista Network and Sharing, turn ON Network Discovery
