How to disable Write Combine feature in Vista?
As some of you may know using an ASUS socket 478 and Pentium 4 motherboard
with an Nvidia GeForce 7600GS video card causes random artifacts and distortions to appear in various games or general 3D rendering. This is caused by a feature called "Write Combine" being enabled. In Windows XP this could be disabled by going into the properties of the driver , then clicking troubleshoot and then disabling the feature. In Vista, this option is greyed out. Does anyone have a solution for fixing this in Vista because it is driving me nuts? |
