Default Firewire Controller Cards in Vista

Good morning all-

Instead of writing to you stating that my Firewire 800 card does not work
with Vista 64-bit (which is a Belkin card and is not even Vista compatible),
I'm going to simply ask if anyone has a Firewire 800 controller card fully
functional in Vista 64-bit mode that they could recommend to me. It doesn't
matter if it is a PCI or PCI-E. I do a lot of video editing, but before I
buy into the Vista 64-bit OS, I need a trustworthy controller card.

Thank you kindly!
Joe

well the 1394 bus host controller is appearing so i think your card is
working ok.

my external wd works with usb and firewire connected at same time

might be a registry fix for this one

When I revert to the Microsoft drivers the external drive works fine,
but the controller just shows up as 1394, not "b".

Anybody know if Vista SP1 will include native 1394b support?

What registry fix?
