USB sound card - Tascam US 428
Appologies for posting again, posted in wrong group first.
Unfortunatelly, tascam do not provide drivers for Windows Vista, but it works perfect on Win XP. By using the compatability wizard and install the drivers under Windows XP settings, the USB device is recognised and is listed in Device Properties under Sound, Video and Game Controllers and shows as This Device is working correctly. It also adds the link in Control Panel and works the remote faders etc. The problem is that under the Sound properties, it does not display it as a selectable device for sound playback or record and just displays 'No audio devices are installed'. Hense, no sound. Has anyone come across this or maybe a work around? |

USB sound card - Tascam US 428
The only work around is to obtain the software written for
Vista which will have to be supplied by Tascam. Your best bet is to contact Tascam Support and inquire about software for Windows Vista.
