Hey Microsoft -- You are so powerful why not help out the little guy who has
been screwed by Vista. Give us our money back that we had to pay for something that does not work will or fix it!!!!!! My old computers run way faster then this new one. I was forced to buy a new computer and had to take Vista. Not fair that I don't have a choice of operating systems. My life has been hell since I have this Vista, even typing on the internet does not always work. Sometimes I have to hit the letter key a couple of times before it works??? I have to spend more time on the computer to accomplish my workload then I did with XP. Would appreciate some consideration for those of us who have to work for a living using computers and are forced to buy something we don't even want. Not fair, not fair. So how about it Microsoft step up to the plate!!!! |

I agree with you 1000% percent! My perfectly good computer with Windows XP
died suddenly and I had to buy a new one. I could not find anything with XP so I was forced to move on to Vista and I hate it! It's the lousiest piece of crap I have ever seen as far as computer systems is concerned. All form and no substance. As if taht wasn;t enough, I had to replace around $1000 worth of software that i was using with XP but which is now incompatible with Vista. Even MONEY 2007, bought in October of 2006, is incompatible with VISTA. As far as I am concerned, Bill Gates and all those *******s at Microsoft can die and rot in hell. They may be billionaires but I don't give a hoot; they are crooks. God Damn them all. Ricardo Mata Charlotte, NC. |

Windows XP computers have been available from Dell and probably other
major OEMs since the release of Windows Vista. Additionally, local shops can custom build a computer with nearly any operating system you desire. -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] http://www3.telus.net/dandemar http://www.dts-l.org "Ricardo L. "I was forced to buy a new computer and had to take Vista"
Next time choose a vender that will sell what you want rather than what they want to sell you. Computers with Windows XP are available from Dell and probably other major OEMs as well as local shops. If you have not had the computer for long, return it to whoever sold it and purchase what you want. -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] http://www3.telus.net/dandemar http://www.dts-l.org "PartyGirl" wrote in message ... What part of your computer died such that you just had to go out and buy a
new one? Even a new motherboard, CPU and memory would have cost less than a totally new Vista computer.. "Ricardo L. Mata" wrote in message ... I agree with you 1000% percent! Well, PartyGirl, I've been running Vista for nine months and it's been
absolutely fine. No problems at all - I like it. even typing on the internet does not always work. Sometimes I have to hit the letter key a couple of times before it works??? I think there is something specific wrong with your PC. This behaviour isn't normal for Vista. I STRONGLY recommend that you pursue this problem with the supplier of the PC. I guarantee that there is something wrong with it. Steve |

Age is a very high price to pay for maturity. Ditto here. I had a few apps would not initially run, but all but a couple of those subsequently got updates to allow usage. Those that did not release patches simply got replaced. How exactly do they think they were forced to use Vista? Everywhere around here locally still sell machines with XP, most of the time it is a choice that simply needs to be made. Dell still sell machines with XP. TBH I would be inclined to think the reason the machines are running like crap is that they may still be loaded with all the crap put on their by the manufacturer. Maybe a little maintenance is in order? -- Can't think of a sig at the moment. Read this instead. |

Well, Steve, I already talked to HP and there is not a problem with my
computer according to them. As for those who say Dell will make a computer with XP, NOT when I bought mine, it was after many complaints that they started offering other systems. Anyway I don't like Dell and prefer HP computer. "Steve Thackery" wrote: Well, PartyGirl, I've been running Vista for nine months and it's been absolutely fine. When I first had to buy my laptop, I was told no other option was available.
Personally I don't like Dell, I prefer HP. Not an option for me. Additionally local shops around here cost way more than buying from the big stores. I don't understand why Microsoft just doesn't fix the damn problem. They have plenty of money, too bad for us normal people.
