I used a dial-up connection last week, and now that I'm back on my home
broadband Inet Explorer keeps popping up "No connection, do you want to connect to (dialup)?". This is wrong as the b'band connection is working fine. The dialog box needs button for "Don't be so darn silly, just get on with the job", but unfortunately there's only "Connect" or "Cancel". Any clues on how to fix this? Try this: Open IEToolsInternet Options. Check Never dial connection. Click
OK to save the settings. -- Bob Lin, MS-MVP, MCSE & CNE Networking, Internet, Routing, VPN Troubleshooting on http://www.ChicagoTech.net How to Setup Windows, Network, VPN & Remote Access on http://www.HowToNetworking.com "Steve" wrote in message ... or simply goto your control panel - internet options and 'delete' the account/settings for your dialup all together, especially if you were away on vacation etc and used a pre-paid or someone elses dial-up account just while you were away. -- Morphene Unlearn everything you thought you knew and start again - ATAKR3w "For all your UNofficial Releases, and custom Design work" |
