Default file sharing not working

Hi. Having problems sharing files over my home network. I can access files on
my laptop from my desktop but not the other way round. Both are running vista
and both have the same settings. Help!!!!

You're not providing a lot of detail here. The problem description "not the
other way round" doesn't provide a lot of clues.

Is Password Protected Sharing enabled or disabled? Do you have the right
account enabled on each computer?

Default file sharing not working

Double checl that both network interface cards have Enable file and Print
Sharing checked in the TCP/IP properties

Default file sharing not working

I had that problem, and after fiddling, it even switched around. The result
was that the networks were not named EXACTLY the same on each computer, and
merge/delete networks not needed. Both computers have the correct network
names, and I can now see/transfer from each.
