Yes it is normal. Personally I don't like leaving my machine in sleep mode
overnight, neither do I like leaving it on all day either, I would much rather turn the machine off completely. However, if you prefer to leave your PC in sleep mode then that is fine. As I said in my original post, Spangles, my desktop is turned off at the end
of use. I will put it into sleep mode if I'm going to be away for half an hour or so, but never any longer. If I'm away for a couple of hour the machine is shut down completely. My laptop is treated in the same way.
