Default Manual Setup option does not show up in Windows Vista Ultimate

I have been searching for a method to get manual setup to show in the add
connection wizard, but i cannot access it. To make matters worse, Intel no
longer supports the Intel PRO Wireless software on Vista. I need to manually
set up this connection since I have no control over the access point, but it
will not let me make a manual connection.

This did not resolve anything, since as I had mentioned, manual did not
appear and the device seemed to be installed properly. However, I have
already resolved the issue in question. The problem was with the default
windows drivers for the Intel PRO chipset. Although it a driver for the
correct hardware, it was outdated, and Dell's driver installation program is
actually broken. I manually found and extracted the driver from Dell's
program and updated the driver. This solved the problem.
