probably not the cause but worth checking that Volume Shadow Copy is
set to automatic.
click "Start" and in "Start Search" type services.msc. That will open
the list of services and you can check it there.
Had a similar problem and found that Volume Shadow copy was set to
manual. Setting it to automatic sorted my problem.
