Default XP and Vista Networking

Hi,

I have Windows Xp on one computer and Vista on laptop. I can see all the
files and folders and share them from Vista computer to Xp but not the
otherway round. I ran the network setup wizard but no luck. can anybody help
me on this one?

I would check the firewall first. Also this post may help too.

XP can't see Vista network mapIf you enable Network Map on a Vista computer,
computers that are running Windows XP may not appear on the network diagram.

The most common problem here would be a NetBT setting, or a personal firewall,
on either computer.

Then look at logs from "browstat status", "ipconfig /all", "net config server",
and "net config workstation", from each computer, and diagnose the problem.
