How do I know if vista is Utilizing all available Ram?
I just finished installing and setting up Vista x64 Ultimate. I have 4
Gigs of Ram that I want to utilize. It is installed and recognized by
the computer. So my question is this:
How do I know for sure that my new OS is using all the available RAM?
The reason I ask is that when I was running 32bit Vista, my ram meters
said I was using approx 33% of my ram. Now that I have 64bit, my ram
meters read the same. That is to say Vista 64 is using 33% or more
regularly. This just seems a little off to me as I expected to see the %
drop with the new OS installed.
Thanks in advance for any answers you could provide.

Have a look at the performance tab in the task manager. Near the bottom on
the left it says "Physical Memory" and underneath it says "Total" - you
should see 4 gigs there. When you were running Vista x86 the total was
probably somewhere between 3 and 3.5 gigs.
